    Kids will also benefit from value-for-money features like no account-keeping fees, a competitive interest rate and special rewards for consistent savings.

  • Children under the age of 12 are eligible for a Cubs Account. Parents and guardians can open the account on behalf of their child and help them manage it, but the account must be in the child’s name.

    Once your child turns 12, the account will automatically transition into a Coastline Kickstart Account.

  • Yes, your child can deposit and withdraw money over the counter at a Coastline branch. However, it’s important to note that this is a savings account, so it’s designed to help teach them about long-term saving rather than frequent spending.

  • Yes, you can transfer money into your child’s Cubs Account at any time, either through direct bank transfers or by making a deposit at a Coastline branch.

  • To open a Cubs Account, you’ll need:

    proof of identity for your child, such as a birth certificate or passport

    a residential address.

    If you’re a parent or caregiver and being added as an authorised signer, you’ll also need to provide proof of identity.

    Simply visit your nearest Coastline branch, and our friendly team will assist you with setting up the account and getting your young saver started.
