Adversity referral program
A helping hand when you need it most
We’re proud to introduce the Adversity Referral Program, created in partnership with the Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre and the Mid North Coast Financial Counselling Service. This program is designed to support members facing crisis or experiencing vulnerability, providing an extra layer of care when life gets tough.
We understand that sometimes our members need more than financial services, and this program allows us to connect you with trusted, qualified professionals who can help. Our friendly Coastline team can refer members directly to the Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre or the nearest branch of support, offering services that extend from the Manning Valley to South West Rocks.
How we can help
Through the program, members can access:
- Financial counselling and literacy programs
- Support for domestic violence, elder abuse, and gambling addiction
- Counselling for substance abuse and other challenges
- Emergency relief when it’s needed most
In addition, Coastline Bank’s Hardship Assistance offers practical financial solutions, such as:
- Lowering repayments or extending loan terms
- Temporarily pausing repayments
- Debt consolidation or reduced interest rates
Our commitment
Our staff have been trained by Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre’s Shirley Kent and Pauline Smith to Recognise > Respond > Refer. This ensures our team is ready to provide compassionate, informed support when it’s needed most.
If you’re experiencing adversity and would like to access this free and confidential service, please speak with one of our friendly team members in-branch or give us a call at 1300 361 066.
We’re here to support you because your well-being matters to us.
