I grew up in the Sutherland Shire, surrounded by coastline and national parks, where my love for the landscape and visual arts began. After earning a Diploma in Graphic Design from the National Art School and a Dip.Ed. from Sydney Teacher's College, I taught art in Sydney and later in Port Macquarie until retiring in 2009.

Retirement marked the beginning of a new chapter—building a studio, entering competitions, and teaching adults. Now an award-winning professional artist, I founded the Innes Artists group and have held four solo and multiple group exhibitions.

The Australian landscape and its ever-changing light are central to my practice. I am particularly drawn to waterways—their reflective surfaces and shifting depths offer endless inspiration. Working with oil, pastel, and charcoal, I continually experiment with technique to capture movement, texture, and luminosity.

Each piece is a meditation on nature’s grace and resilience, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in serene, vibrant spaces. Through expressive mark-making, I aim to capture the essence of my subjects in a way that excites the senses.
