General Manager

Peter Townsend

Peter Townsend

Peter was appointed to the General Manager's position in 1996 and has played an important role in the development and growth of Coastline Credit Union over the past decade. He was previously the General Manager of Central West Credit Union.

Peter is a Director of Indue Ltd which provides financial products and services to financial institutions. These solutions include payment products such as direct entry, chequing, BPAY, cards, acquiring and monitoring services for ATMs, as well as balance sheet management, risk and computer services.

Board of Directors

Coastline has a Board of Directors which consists of seven members. The directors come from varied backgrounds and occupations ranging from school teachers to accountants. Coastline Directors are elected via a Member vote and serve a three year term.

Allan Hudson

Allan Hudson (Chairman)

Allan joined the Board of Directors in 2008. Allan is Secretary Manager of the Kendall Services & Citizens Club. Allan has an accounting background having worked with banks, finance companies and Credit Unions for a number of years before joining the hospitality industry.

Allan is married and lives on a small farm in the Camden Haven valley. He is a strong believer in the principles of mutuality.

Matthew Ryan

Matthew Ryan (Deputy Chairman)

Matthew joined the Board in 2009 and is Chairman of the Risk committee and a member of the Executive and Audit committees. Matthew is a Senior Manager with Public Partners Australia, a management consulting firm focused on supporting government and industry clients. He has held a number of management roles with the Department of Defence and Corrective Services. 

Matthew is married and lives in South West Rocks where he is actively involved in the community. He holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts/Politics and a Diploma in Business (Governance). Through his involvement in the community Matthew has observed the many benefits provided by Coastline Credit Union and he is proud to be a part of an organisation that exists to support local people.

David Bevan

David Bevan

David joined the Board in 2010 and is a member of the Risk and Loans Committee. David has been a member of Coastline Credit Union for 28 years and had in excess of 25 years' experience with credit unions holding the positions of Chairman, General Manager, Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer.

David's association with the Credit Union industry has provided him with a sound understanding of the social and community needs of its members, requirement for a high level of corporate governance and a focused strategic plan.

David acts in the best interest of members to ensure that the credit union is providing relevant products and services; maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the Board and management; and its continued viability.

David is actively involved within the community and is a member of Rotary and Legacy.

Tony Ferris

Tony Ferris

Tony was elected to the Board of Directors at the 2012 AGM. Tony has more than thirty five years' experience in Credit Unions, commencing his career with Coastline in 1982 when it was known as Macleay Mutual. During that time Tony attained an Advanced Commerce Certificate, a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

His commitment to the Credit Union Industry is driven by the strong belief in the values and support that Credit Unions provide to their members and the communities in which they operate.

Vanessa McNeily

Vanessa McNeilly

Vanessa was elected to the Board in November 2011. Vanessa operates her own law firm in Forth Street, Kempsey and has worked in area as a solicitor for a number of years.

Vanessa believes it's important to support the businesses and families of our local community. She will provide a fresh and common sense approach and is committed to the ongoing success of Kempsey and the Region.

Jennifer Pike

Jennifer Pike

Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) at Macquarie University in 1988 and was admitted to the status of Certified Practising Accountant of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants in 1994.

Jennifer resides in Port Macquarie, after relocating from the Macleay in 2005 where she was involved with several local community and sporting organisations.

A member of Coastline since 1997, Jennifer is a strong believer that Coastline is a viable alternative to the "big 4" banks offering personal service and relevant financial products and services to its members. Coastline plays an important role in the communities which its serves by supporting local people, business and community organisations. Jennifer is committed to ensuring Coastline continues to deliver quality and excellence and strives for continual improvement in the delivery of its products and services.
