Coastline Community Foundation 2007 Recipients AFL Port Macquarie Juniors
AFL Port Macquarie Juniors $700 Grant to fund the purchase of new training equipment to be used by the club to allow for more effective training sessions and helping the juniors to develop their skills. Bellbrook Hall & Combined Charities $2,758 Grant to pay for the materials and hire of equipment that will enable the Bellbrook community to work together to repair the floor and external walls of the well used Bellbrook Hall. Crescent Head Cricket Club $2,700 Grant to fund the purchase and installation of new synthetic playing surfaces for the clubs newly constructed training pitches at the Crescent Head Sporting fields. Douglas Vale Conservation Group Inc. $2,000 Grant to fund the purchase of an industrial style BBQ to be used at open days and to help with catering at other events. The new BBQ will replace two older units which were donated by Members some time ago. Friends of South West Rocks Swimming Pool Committee $1,872 Grant to fund the purchase of eight counter-lever umbrellas to be used at South West Rocks Swimming Pool. The new umbrellas will provide shade for both spectators, competitors and officials. Hastings Woodworkers Guild Inc. $5,000 Grant to help fund the construction of an extension to the existing woodworking sheds at Timbertown including a display area and toilet facilities. The existing shed is dangerously overcrowded. Kempsey District Silver Band $3,450 Grant to fund the purchase of a portable shade marquee. The new marquee will be used to provide shade for the Band Members during performances and other such events. Kempsey High School $4,189 Grant to fund the purchase and installation of all new kitchen appliances, including a fridge, freezer and cutlery to allow better use of the school hall for both the staff and students. Kempsey Hornets Soccer Club $5,000 Grant to fund the upgrade of the canteen to meet the Australian Health Standards including the installation of new cupboards and the replacement of the existing counter tops and tiling. Kempsey Junior Rugby League Football Club $2,600 Grant to fund the purchase of fifty new stackable chairs for the clubhouse function room to be used by both the Kempsey Junior Rugby League and the wider community. Kempsey Rugby Union Club $4,155 Grant to fund the construction of a new scoreboard at the club's main playing field and make repairs to the club canteen including new tiling and painting. Kempsey-Macleay RSL Sub Branch $5,000 Grant to fund the repair and refurbishment of the War Memorial at Frederickton. The War Memorial is dangerous to the community in its current state and needs urgent repairs. Mid North Coast Maritime Museum Inc. $2,610 Grant to fund the repair and restoration of the number 4 and 5 rooms of the number 6 cottage at the Mid-North Coast Maritime Museum. PCYC - Port & Kempsey $4,000 Grant to fund the purchase of a range of sporting equipment which will be used by the PCYC to help run activity days in the Port Macquarie and Kempsey areas. Seebreeze Beach Hotel Fishing Club Inc. $5,000 Grant to fund the construction of a unisex modular toilet facility and pumping station at the Back Creek South West Rocks boat ramp and trailer parking reserve. Smithtown Junior Rugby League $2,000 Grant to fund the purchase of new training equipment which will be used by up to 150 junior Rugby League players between the ages of five and sixteen. South West Rocks Sports Association $5,000 Grant to fund the construction of a canteen facility at the new Boyters Lane sporting fields which will be used by both players, spectators and the wider community. Great Lakes Historical Co-Operative Society Ltd. $1,500 Grant to help fund the installation of a standards compliant fire safety door and to improve disabled access to the museum for the public. Crowdy Head Surf Life Saving Club Inc. $3,070 Grant to purchase two new Surf Rescue Boards to replace the clubs existing rescue boards which are no longer suitable to be safely used for daily patrols and training. Forster Public School $5,000 Grant to help fund the development and construction of a new outdoor play area in the school's Support Unit area. The existing area is no longer suitable for children to play in. Nabiac Rural Fire Brigade $1,200 Grant to purchase two 25mm Akron fire fighting nozzles to be fitted to the live reels on the category one fire truck. The new nozzles will allow greater water control when fighting fires. Ecumenical Care Centre Inc. (Port Macquarie) Grant to fund the purchase of industrial grade food preparation and storage equipment for the Centre's Soup Kitchen service to cater for a greater number of participants. |
